It's A Matter Of Choice

New York City's Mayor Bloomberg and his Health officials, who arbitrarily decided to ban formula samples from goodie bags handed out to new moms at public hospitals, are getting some heat for that decision. And rightly so. It seems, like me, thousands of others are annoyed that our government would make a decision for me that I'm fully capable of making myself.

Yesterday evening ( Wed), well-known radio talk show host, Howie Carr of WRKO in Boston, made it one of his subjects, and the calls came flying in from people angry that the choice would be taken away from them. The New York Post also took city officials to task over it. And the latest: The Today Show

Again, no one is disputing the benefits of breastfeeding. What's at issue is the choice to be fully informed being taken away. Don't forget to SIGN THE PETITION if you agree!
